Mission

Glimpse from the Globe is a student-run outlet dedicated to providing timely and timeless content on international affairs. Established in 2013, the founding Glimpse leadership identified the need to more prominently feature sophisticated and culturally engaging international affairs content produced by students at the University of Southern California. In the time since, Glimpse has expanded to feature work from contributors around the globe. The content, which in form and function reflects the diversity of Glimpse’s contributing authors, seeks to highlight the pressing issues of our time. Moving beyond the news, all the work featured on Glimpse from the Globe provides an added level of analytical depth that challenges us all to think again. It is in this spirit that Glimpse welcomes submissions from any author – on any topic – where the watermark of intellectual discourse is clearly elevated. We recognize that opinions change as knowledge accumulates; yet it remains a fundamental truth that all original ideas deserve a place in the sun. It is in this spirit that we, the Glimpse from the Globe team, strive to provide timely and timeless content long into the foreseeable future.

Glimpse from the Globe receives funding support from the University of Southern California’s School of International Relations.
