Author Leia Wang

Leia Wang is a sophomore in the World Bachelor in Business, a program in which she will earn three degrees from the University of Southern California, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and the Universita Commerciale Luigi Bocconi. In the past four years, she has volunteered in and visited over fifteen countries in six continents and is fluent in Mandarin and conversational in Spanish. At USC, she was a research assistant for Professor Erin Carter and helped analyze the United State’s use of diplomacy in dealing with China during the Bush era and today. Last summer, she consulted for CIEDS, the fifth largest NGO in Rio, Brazil, and interned and studied at the Institute for European Studies in Brussels. She is currently working and studying in Hong Kong, and her interests include human rights, cultural change, and economic development in Western Europe and China. In her spare time, she enjoys running and exploring the outdoors.
